Given what you have learned about the possibilities and challenges of children's participation rights, how does the Shaking the Movers model meet these challenges? Are there gaps in the model? If so, how might the model be modified to address these gaps?

  • Compared to other idea or models, the STM gives opportunity and voice to all children; they enable the challenge that children face to not be heard in allowing them to actively participate in opinions that matter them.

  • Young people who attended the workshops of STM, are more open and have the opportunity to ‘have a floor’ or a platform to speak for themselves. Children mention that they are different ways of participating; with peer to peer, children and youth are more flexible to be confortable but with adults it is more difficult to express their opinion. Compared toothed models, STM focuses on the implication of children within the UNCRC.
