Exploitation can mean a variety of things but a basic definition is that to exploit someone is to take advantage of them and unfortunately this can happen at any age. By looking at exploitation on a continuum we are able to expand out understanding to an in depth analysis of not only the different forms of exploitation but also the consequences and the implications it will cause. By looking through past occurrences we are able to put preventative measures in place to guarantee the safety of children's lives. When these measures are put in place there should be a victim who has experienced exploitation who feels comfortable sharing their story so that there is an understanding of what truly needs to happen to ensure a child's safety.
