- Number of articles, the UNCRC has 54 while the 1959 declaration has 10
- The UNCRC elaborates on several issues such as adoption where as the Declaration seems to cover the basics
- For example, the UNCRC has in-depth sections spanning from adoption rights to education rights where as the declaration seems to provide everything in one document
