This model meets the challenges by pretty much covering everything that they should be. Seeing the "lessons learned" sections is really interesting because it shows that the researchers saw gaps and adjusted their model to better suit the participants' wants/needs. Feedback is really important in order to better deliver a favourable outcome and it is beneficial to those arranging the event to use it. It really shows that they take the children's ideas/complaints seriously. The model seems very comprehensive, I am inclined to say there are not any obvious gaps in the model.

One individuals says “Sometimes our ideas get through but other times our opinions and ideas are just put aside because we are young.” By saying this, the perosn recognizes that they have right to be heard without prejudice or ageism. They know that adults may deem them uneducated or irrelevant because they are young, which is a violation.

Another one is “Children need a different kind of protection than adults" which directly relates to a child's right to protection. For example, an adult might need protection in the form of the judicial system, which is reasonable, but a child begins by needing a much more basic form of protection. A child needs to be protected from the harsh elements of the world and relies heavily on an adult for its survival.
