I personally feel like it is important to view an individual as a person regardless of their age, to do otherwise would be discrimination. Essentially, all persons, as human beings, are entitled to their rights despite any factors such as age. Pearson brings up a good point when she states that we, as human beings, will always hurt others if we do not see them as not having a similar face to ours. That can be seen in how some adults abuse children, as its mainly because they see themselves as superior to them, and that just dehumanizes the child.
