Exploitation a continuum?

Exploitation means to take unfair advantage of someone (taken from the Standford Encyclopedia), in this case, we are referring to children. It was mentioned in the module that children worldwide are experiencing different types of exploitation. In my opinion, by thinking of exploitation on a continuum it allows us to understand in more depth the degrees of exploitation that are acceptable versus unacceptable. Furthermore, it gives children's rights advocates some sort of guideline as to what degree of exploitation they should accept. In other words, if the exploitation exceeds the social acceptability allowed by this continuum then, children's rights advocates step in and take action to end the exploitation.
