  1. Why do you think that children's participation rights matter?  Children's participation rights matter because without their participation, it is a way of taking their voice and opinions away.  Children are detrimental to their own growth and development and without participation and a voice, it makes it very hard for the child to grow.
  2. How does the inclusion of children's participation in the UNCRC implicate States Parties that have ratified the treaty?  Having the inclusion of children's participation in the UNCRC ratified the treaty by putting the state directly  responsible for the children.
  3. What do children's participation rights have to do with citizenship and democratic processes that are inclusive and empowering? This giving children a voice and a choice in their choices, giving them more opportunities and having a say in their life choices and experiences.

Given what you have learned about the possibilities and challenges of children's participation rights, how does the Shaking the Movers model meet these challenges? Are there gaps in the model?  If so, how might the model be modified to address these gaps?

The shaking the movers model meets these challenges by putting the children in the direct spotlight, and putting their voices and opinions first.  Having the adults around just to listen and sit beside the children while they continue doing their thing, gives the children confidence and a voice in their lives.

I'm not 100% sure if there are gaps, but to me this model seems to tackle the participation problem head on and puts the children and their voices and participation and voices first and fore most, which is the ultimate goal.
