I found that the UNDRC was much more vague than the UNCRC which listed a variety of factors for each article. The UNCRC defined what classified as a child whereas the UNDRC does not. The UNDRC references the mother as the primary parent and the UNCRC references mother and father as equal parents with equal roles. Both emphasize the right for children to have access to free elementary education and to be protected from any harm (exploitation, abuse etc.). They both mention that children are entitled to a name and nationality and that children with exceptional needs receive special and appropriate care. The UNDRC uses the term 'handicap' while the UNCRC uses the term 'disabled', both which aren't really used now, particularly 'handicap'. The UNCRC had much more detail in their Convention and established the "ground rules" for a variety of issues that may arise whereas the UNDRC does not do this, leaving it very open-ended.
