The UN convention on the right of the child examines not only children's rights, but human rights as well. In doing that it allows the reader to compare the needs of an adult to a child. There is also a good point in the article which explains how a child's rights should involve a healthy environment for the child's development and a happy and loving atmosphere provided by the child's family. The other article sets out a 10 principles which are used to protect the child. Right away I can see that there is a difference in the language used between the two articles. In the 10 principles, the idea of protection is very prominent, while in the UN convention article there is more of a focus on inclusion from parents and children. Both serve their purpose, but I can see a drastic difference in the way the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child differs from the UN convention just due to the way that child's rights have changed to adapt what a child needs instead of just protection.
